Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has said Morocco could have defeated Brazil 3–1 if they had players like Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen or Ademola Lookman in their squad.
Oliseh stated this on Sunday in a comment shared on his X handle following Morocco’s 1–1 draw with Brazil in their 2026 FIFA World Cup Group Stage match on Saturday.
Describing Morocco’s display as impressive, Oliseh praised their tactical balance in both attack and defence.

“Impressive performance by this Moroccan side, defensively and offensively well structured. Had this team had ‘Victor Osimhen or Ademola Lookman’ like players versus Brazil, they could have won by 3 goals to 1 at worst,” he wrote.
The former Eagles captain noted that Brazil’s result flattered them, crediting their star players for keeping the scoreline respectable.
“Brazil looking deceptive and thank God they had Vinicius Jr and Raphinha. I loved the belief and evolution from the Moroccans,” he added.
Morocco earned a valuable point against the five-time world champions in a closely contested encounter that saw the South American side’s Vinicius winning the Superior Player of the Match award.
