Naija Super 8 Playoffs: Katsina United beat Kano Pillars to North-West ticket

Katsina United defeated Kano Pillars 1-0 to secure the North West ticket in the Naija Super 8 playoffs.

Samson Olasofo netted the winning goal six minutes from time.

Olasofo received a pass in the penalty box and slotted the ball beyond the Kano Pillars goalkeeper.

Katsina United are the fifth team to pick the ticket to the competition.

Remo Stars, Lobi Stars, Yobe Desert Stars and Enyimba are the other teams who have qualified for the Naija Super 8 finals.

Rivers United and Bendel Insurance will also vie for a place in the competition later today.

The Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, will host the competition from July 7 to July 16.

The overall winner will take home the N25 million prize money.
