Week Of Consolidation

Nigeria National League season is gathering momentum, and chunking out some good results. The skills and talents been exhibited by the various teams are second to none.

40 goals were scored in 18 matches, an average of 2.66 goals per match.

The highest number of goals was recorded in Uyo where Dakkada FC found their scoring boots against their visitors Edel FC from Awka. Dakkada scored four goals in the encounter. Also Madiba did not smile against Abia Comets, they whacked them with three goals to nil, same goal margin that Giant Brillars scored against International Lagos. But, the match between Ekiti United and close door neighbors produced the highest numbers of goals in the week under review. Five goals were shared with the home team scoring three, and the visitors had two. This week, the momentum will continue to increase, as the boys will soon be separated from the men.

Conference A

Edel vs Abia Comets

This is a match of two back benchers. The two teams lost their last weekend matches scandalously. Edel lost 4-0 in Uyo while Abia Comets lost 3-0 in Lagos.

In this match, the two teams would want to prove to their fans that they are in for the NNL party. Anything can happen in the match.

Coal city vs Madiba

Coal City FC will want to redeem themselves against high flying Madiba FC. The Lagos based team are high flyers in the Conference and may not want to loose any guard in Enugu.

Stomers vs Beyond Limit

Beyond Limits is not finding it easy in the league, though they defeated the Coal City last week, but against Stormers in Abeokuta, it will be a different fish in the kettle. The home team will be victorious at the end.

1472 vs Ekiti Utd

1472 is in for a battle against Ekiti United. They Surulere boys are enjoying their cruise so far. Against Ekiti United, they may increase their points tally this week.

Smart City Vs Vandrezzer

Smart City will have to beat Vandrezzzer in Lagos to prove a point. But, Thankgod Ike will want to lead his boys to a win in their former base, Lagos.

Dakkada vs Rovers
This will be a match of two brothers. Dakkada will want to consolidate on their last weekend victory. Against, Rovers the task maybe more heculiar task. The result will go the way of the home boys.

Conference B

International Lagos vs Ikorodu City

Sincerely, the results that International Lagos is getting is not what they bargained for.
Tradesafe vs Crown

Tradesafe are poised to consolidate on the single point they obtained on the road last week. They will surely have their hands full against a well motivated Crown FC boys

Gateway Utd Vs Giant Brillar

Gateway Utd FC were able to slow down the flying Osun United boys at the midweek. The held Seye Ajayi and his boy to a score draw in Osogbo. This week, they will surely consolidate on that by acquiring all the three points at stake. But, they have to be careful of the Enugu boys, as they are always ready to play the spoiler.

Warri Wolves vs Ijebu Utd

Ijebu United are in trouble this weekend in Warri. They are facing an aggrieved team in Warri Wolves who lost all three points to Osun United last weekend, while Ijebu United could not overcome Tradesafe at home. So, the match in Warri would not be an easy one for the boys from the Awujale Town.

Solution vs Osun Utd
Coach Seye Ajayi and his boys are really enjoying the grove of the season so far. They are table toppers in the conference, and will make things difficult for the Solution boys. The Soludo boys have to be careful not to concede a home defeat because their visitors are on fire.

EFCC vs ABS

EFCC will surely have this, but they will have to careful with the skillful Saraki boys. EFCC will want to consolidate on their away win last week, while the visitors will want to build on their victory over Zamfara last week. The anti graft team will not have any complain whatsoever at the end of proceedings.

Mighty Jets vs NAF

For sure, Mighty Jets will throw everything into this match. They were not fortunate in the last match in Lafia. The Airforce boys must double their efforts to survive this.

Elkanemi Warriors vs Nasarawa Utd

Yobe Desert Stars vs Wikki Tourists

Wikki Tourists good run so far, was truncated last weekend, when they were forced to score draw at home by Elkanemi Warriors. This weekend in Damaturu, they will strive to regain the points, but I saw the home smiling at the end.

City vs Sporting Supreme

A local derby in Abuja, and the grass at the Area 10 Old Parade Ground will surely testify at the end of the 90 minutes. The home team will surely not smile with their visitors this weekend. Coach Mansur Abdullahi and his boys will surely have the maximum points.

Adamawa Utd vs Kebbi Utd

Both teams ran away with victories last weekend, they will try to size each other up in Gombe, and the home team will improve on their stand after the regulation time

Malumfashi Vs Mailantarki

Malumfashi will want to show their fans to that they are back in the league. They will stop at nothing to overcome the “owners of electricity” from Abuja.
