Nothing Yet, I Will Meet Benin Officials – Rohr

Contrary to the report going on in certain sections of the media that former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has been appointed as the new coach of the Squirrel, the France-German gaffer has confirmed that nothing concrete yet.

The rumour circulated in the media on Tuesday that Rohr has been appointed but he quickly debunked it on Wednesday afternoon and further said he will meet the Federation of Benin Football officials by the end of February to take a decision.

“I will meet Benin officials at the end of February. And then we will decide…” he told a source in Nigeria.

Apart from Rohr, the name of Philippe Troussier is also in the news as the new coach of the team.

Any choice made by the federation will need the approval of the Minister of Sports of Benin, Oswald Homeky.
