The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has officially designated the El Kanemi Stadium in Maiduguri as the home ground for El Kanemi Warriors for the 2024-25 season. This decision comes ahead of Matchday Two, which will see the Borno Army face Kwara United in front of their home supporters.
Davidson Owumi while validating the dates for the second week of hostilities confirmed that El Kanemi Warriors would host their home matches in front of their fans.
In other games listed for the weekend and some rescheduled due to CAF Inter club competitions, Remo Stars will face Sunshine Stars in Ikenne in a night fixture on Saturday; Bayelsa United will host Kano Pillars in Yenagoa on Sunday; Niger Tornadoes will tango Nasarawa United in Kaduna on Sunday while Shooting Stars and Plateau United will trade tackles in Ibadan in the Oluyole Warriors’ first home game of the season.
In the remaining games, Katsina United will ambush Bendel Insurance at home on Sunday; Rivers United fixture with Heartland FC will hold on Sunday as well while Akwa United versus Abia Warriors is slated for Uyo on Saturday.

Ikorodu City first home game of the season will wait till September 25th when they face reigning champions, Rangers International FC while Enyimba will slug it out with Lobi Stars also on September 25th in Aba.
Rangers will next week Friday face Esperança Sagrada of Angola in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo while in the CAF Confederation Cup, Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso will square up with Enyimba in the second preliminary round in Ouagadougou also next Friday.
