NPFL: IMC stops fixtures adjustment

Date:

The Interim Management Committee, IMC, stated that rescheduling fixtures in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has been frozen indefinitely.

IMC Head of Operations, David Owumi stated that the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, frowned at the deluge of requests by the clubs which according to the soccer body is capable of threatening the integrity of the NPFL.

“Consequent upon the directive of the NFF, there would be no more rescheduling of matches either for political or logistics reasons. The fixtures have to be strictly adhered to,” reads a circular signed by Owumi.

All the 20 clubs have now been advised to meet up with their upcoming fixtures.

Matchday three of the 2022/23 NPFL season will be concluded with two games on Tuesday.

All matchday four fixtures will be played this weekend.
