Nwakali’s career in deep crisis as Spanish Club Heusca set to offload him

Spanish Segunda B side Huesca is willing to allow Super Eagles of Nigeria player Kelechi Nwakali leave for free in the summer.

Nwakali has less than seven months on his current deal with the Club and there has been no talks, regarding an extension.

According to reports, Huesca isn’t impressed with the attitude of the 23-year-old former Arsenal midfielder and won’t keep him beyond his contract.

Recalled Nwakali almost sealed a loan move away from the club in January, but the deal fell through in the last minute.

The 23-year-old is currently suspended by the club for 10 days, after returning to late from African Cup of Nations duty with the Super Eagles.

In addition, The former Arsenal and FC Porto midfielder is not entitled to pay for the duration of the suspension.

Nwakali took part in the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon with the Super Eagles, where they crashed out in the round of 16.

The suspension is a big blow 23-year-old who is eyeing a place in Super Eagles squad for next month’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ghana.
