Born in Spain in 2004 but with Nigerian origins, Omorodion is a central striker with a great physique (193 cm). His story is the classic fairytale: until a year ago, in fact, he played in the Spanish fourth division with Recreativo Granada (second team of the club that plays in the first division) and the first goal scored in La Liga was against… Atletico Madrid . The Colchoneros, in fact, decided to buy him after facing him on the first day of the current championship, in which he scored the temporary equalizer for the red and whites (3-1 for Atleti in the final). Permanent transfer for 6 million euros and immediately loaned to Alaves , with whom he has scored on 8 occasions so far.

Omorodion has a great relationship with his mother Edith and it is also for her that he is working hard: “I had a clear objective – he told Relevo -, I wanted my mother to have a more peaceful life. In recent years she has done everything to give me and my sister a better life, people can’t even imagine it. When I signed with Atletico I told her: ‘Mum, you’ll stop working soon’ , she started screaming because she didn’t believe it. A truly special moment.”
