Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala emerged as the Top Scorer of the Spanish Women’s Primera Division with 20 goals.
Her team, Barcelona Femeni won the league, and finished the league season unbeaten with 30 wins in 30 games. The team scored 159 goals.
They ended the season on 90 points, twenty-four points more than second-placed Real Sociedad.
Real Madrid came third in the season while Rasheedat Ajibade’s Atletico Madrid came fourth on the log.
Ajibade scored just half of what her friend and Super Falcons teammate managed during the season and helped Atletico Madrid to a reasonable finish on the log.
Oshoala becomes the first African woman to win the Pichichi top scorers award in Spain. Geyse Ferreira also netted 20 goals for Real Madrid but Oshoala scooped the award after playing fewer games than the Brazilian.
