Osimhen good to go against South Africa

Date:

It is good news in Super Eagles camp in Bouake as Victor Osimhen received clean bill of health to play against Bafana Bafana in tomorrow’s semifinal clash.

The team’s medics had hinted that they will observe the Eagles and Napoli talisman who could not join the rest of the team to Bouake on Monday but had finally hit the camp today with the Medics confirming that he is now in top shape for the all-important showdown.

Recall that there had been doubt over whether or not Osimhen who had reported abdominal discomfort will be ready for the match but the new development is cheery news not only for his teammates and technical crew but also fans of the team who are eager to see the team zoom into the finals of the 34th AFCON in Cote d Ivoire.

Members of the team had traveled from Abidjan to Bouaké Monday via a 10pm Air Cote D’Ivoire flight. Osimhen did not however make the trip as a result of an abdominal discomfort. Team medics confirmed that he has been placed under close watch with a member of the medical team staying behind in Abidjan with him.

Osimhen has started on the matches played by the Super Eagles so far in their quest to clinch the fourth AFCON title with three already in the kitty won in 1980, 1994 and 2013.
