Osimhen thankful after successful campaign with Napoli

Date:

Victor Osimhen is in buoyant mood following a successful campaign with Serie A club, Napoli, reports Completesports.com.

Napoli will campaign in the UEFA Champions League next season after securing third position in the just concluded season.

On a personal level, Osimhen was named the best U-23 player in the Italian top-flight for the 2021/22 campaign.

The forward registered 14 goals and 27 league appearances for the Partenopei.

“For me, this is a big milestone! Having gone through a lot of tough times, from multiple injuries and all, I still stood my ground against all odds but I won’t be able to do these things without the support of my family, friends, fans, and of course my teammates, the coaches,” Osimhen wrote on his Instagram page.

“This one is also for the people, who want to see me fail. You will all motivate me to put a lot of you all in shame. God is the greatest, we move on.”

Osimhen linked up with the Blues last summer from Ligue 1 outfit Lille. He scored 10 goals in 24 league appearances on his debut campaign.
