Osimhen tipped to enjoy more goal feast

Napoli and Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has been tipped to score more goals for the team and be in a position to break records set by former players.

The former Lille ace scored four goals in the 10-0 demolition of SPT on Monday in Agadir Morocco bring his goals for the national team in all competitions to 15.Just a goal behind Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa’s 16,six goals behind Yakubu Aiyegbeni’s 21,seven behind Mathematical Odegbami’s record 22 and 22 behind legendary Nigeria’s king of goals Rashidi Yekini’s 37 goals.

Soccer fans and analysts tickled by Osimhen’s scoring form are unanimous in agreement that he stands a good chance of breaking records noting that age is on his side but regretted that Nigeria failed to pick a ticket to the world cup which would have provided yet another platform for him to harvest more goals.

Former Super Eagles ace Peter Ijeh while reacting to Super Eagles thrashing of SPT in the nations Cup qualifiers expressed delight that a number of the squad have the ability to score describing it as a plus for the national team.

He also noted that the good pitch on which the match was played contributed to the good outing.

Interestingly the 10 goals were scored by six different players viz Osimhen, Moses Simon,Terem Moffi who scored a brace,Oghenekaro Etebo,Ademola Lukeman and Emmanuel Dennis.
