Paris 2024 Qualifier: Super Falcons won’t be intimidated by South African fans — Payne

Super Falcons winger, Toni Payne has declared the team’s readiness to cope with the hostile environment in Pretoria ahead of their clash against Banyana Banyana of South Africa.

Randy Waldrum’s side will be up against the African champions in the second leg of their 2024 Olympic Games qualifier at the Lotfus Versfeld Stadium, Pretoria on Tuesday (today).

A full house is expected at the 51,000-capacity stadium.

Payne, however, stated that the Super Falcons won’t be intimidated by the home fans.

“We are feeling really prepared, we had the whole day to rest so the team is feeling really good,” she said on NFF TV.

“Coming off the win in the last game we have a lot of confidence and there will be improvements.

“I think it’s something to keep in mind obviously when you are away and when you have the crowd against you, it’s something difficult but we’ve come against the worst odds we are ready to battle them.”
