Secretary General of the Nigeria Olympics Committee (NOC), Tunji Popoola, is optimistic about the Super Falcons’ prospects at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The Super Falcons are set to make their Olympic return after last competing in Beijing in 2008. They face a challenging group alongside Spain, Japan, and Brazil.
Despite the tough competition, Popoola believes in the nine-time African champions’ ability to secure a medal.

“We have a strong football team, and I am confident they can achieve a podium finish,” he asserted.
Popoola also anticipated medals in athletics, weightlifting, and wrestling, hinting at a promising performance from Nigerian athletes.
“We aim to surprise Nigerians with a significant medal tally,” he added optimistically.
