Paris 2024 Olympic: Sports events Team Nigeria will compete In [Full list]

The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, are just five days away. Nigeria has slated 88 athletes to compete in various sports during the Games, which will run from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

Below is the list of sporting events Team Nigeria will participate in:

– Athletics

– Badminton

– Basketball

– Boxing

– Canoeing

– Cycling

– Football

– Table Tennis

– Taekwondo

– Weightlifting

– Wrestling

Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, has set ambitious goals for Team Nigeria, hoping to surpass their historic performance at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Enoh calls for national support, emphasizing the dedication and readiness of Nigerian athletes.

“Our athletes have trained tirelessly,” stated Enoh through Diana-Mary Nsan, S.A. Media to the Honourable Minister of Sports Development. “With every Nigerian’s backing, we believe our team will excel and bring honor to the nation.”

Nigeria’s squad includes renowned athletes such as Oluwatobiloba Amusan, Ese Brume, Blessing Oborodudu, and many others poised to make their mark on the global stage.
