Peseiro now to earn $60,000 monthly, cut down foreign assistants

Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro will now earn $60,000 on a monthly basis.

The Portuguese accepted a reduction from his previous $70,000 salary to retain his job.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced on Sunday that Peseiro has signed a contract extension putting paid to speculations over his future.

The contract will expire at the end of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations which will be staged in Cote d’Ivoire next January.

Peseiro as part of the new agreement will cut down his foreign assistants.

The NFF has promised to pay the 63-year-old’s outstanding salaries in batches.

The Super Eagles will be in action against Sao Tome and Principe in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday.
