Ashleigh Plumptre is overjoyed after being included in the Super Falcons’ squad for their upcoming international friendly against France.
The 25-year-old had been sidelined for an extended period due to an ACL injury earlier this year, which also caused her to miss out on the Super Falcons’ squad for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, as she didn’t recover in time.
However, Plumptre was named in interim head coach Justine Madugu’s 20-player roster for the friendly against Les Bleues on Sunday.
Excited about her return, Plumptre shared her joy on social media: “Feels great to have made the Super Falcons list for the upcoming international games.
It’s a great opportunity to fight for the badge again.”
Plumptre has made 17 league appearances for Nigeria.
