Senegal centre-back, Kalidou Koulibaly, has sent a message of support to England forward Raheem Sterling after armed intruders broke into his home.
Sterling left Englandโs World Cup squad in Qatar on Sunday and returned to London following the terrifying ordeal.
As a result, the 27-year-old missed Englandโs 3-0 World Cup round of 16 win against Senegal.
Speaking on the development, Koulibaly, a club teammate with Sterling at Chelsea, said he would call the former Manchester City star on the phone.
โI really didnโt know. Iโm really surprised,โ Koulibaly said at his post-match press conference when asked about the England starโs departure from Qatar after Senegalโs World Cup elimination.
โI hope his family is good. Now I will call him and see what happened to him. But I hope heโll be good and his family is good.โ
