Qatar 2022: No retirement for me now, says Argentina captain Lionel Messi

Argentina captain Lionel Messi has ruled out international retirement after winning the World Cup.

The PSG star has confirmed his plans to continue playing international football.

It’s not yet clear how long he’ll play for the national team, but he insists he wants to play “as a champion” before hanging up his boots for good.

“I’m not retiring from the national team,” he revealed after the match.

“I want to keep playing as a champion.”
