Qatar 2022: Ronaldo not ready for retirement, says Reggina coach Inzaghi

Reggina coach Pippo Inzaghi believes that free agent Cristiano Ronaldo will not accept any hint about retirement.

The 37 year-old is weighing up his options after being released by Manchester United and seeing Portugal now eliminated from the World Cup.

AC Milan great Inzaghi said: “I always say that it is hard for us to stop, accept, as has happened for each of us, the end.

“You never know what awaits you later and you know that what you are doing gives you emotions that are difficult to retrace. I don’t know what goes through his head, his management for a coach is not easy.

“Fortunately they made me stop, I would have gone on at 39, but some players deserve to end at very high levels.”
