Real Sociedad striker Umar Sadiq has expressed frustration over his limited playing time at the club.
Sadiq, who joined Real Sociedad from Almeria in 2022, made an impressive start by scoring on his debut.
However, his second appearance saw him suffer a cruciate ligament injury, sidelining him for the rest of the 2022/23 season.
After recovering, the 27-year-old returned to action at the beginning of last season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 26 league appearances.
Despite his contributions, the majority of his appearances came from the bench.
This season, Sadiq has made just six league appearances, and the Nigeria international has voiced his dissatisfaction with his current situation at the club.
“I just need continuity, and that doesn’t depend on me. I’m training well, and I consider myself more than a professional now.
The rest is not in my hands,” Sadiq told Eldesmarque. “All I can do is keep pushing, continue training hard, and when I get the opportunity to play regularly, I’ll be ready to prove myself.”
