Serie A: Atalanta determined to retain Lookman

Date:

Atalanta are determined to hold on to their influential winger, Ademola Lookman, as interest in him from Europe’s top clubs continues to grow.

The Nigerian international has been linked with some of the continent’s biggest names, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Real Madrid, further heightening Atalanta’s resolve to secure his future.

Paris Saint-Germain, in particular, made an attempt to sign Lookman during the summer transfer window, highlighting the high demand for the 26-year-old winger.

In response to these developments, Atalanta are now focused on negotiating a new contract for Lookman, with the aim of locking him down for the long term.

The Serie A club has reportedly tabled a new contract offer, which includes a substantial salary increase in an effort to persuade the winger to stay.

Lookman’s current deal with Atalanta runs through to 2026, offering the club some security, but they are eager to ensure that he remains a key part of their plans for the foreseeable future.

Atalanta have set Lookman’s market value between €60-70 million, a reflection of his growing reputation and importance to the team.
