Serie A: Osimhen salutes Napoli despite difficult win against Empoli

Victor Osimhen has hailed his Napoli teammates after their latest win in Serie A against Empoli on Tuesday night.

Luciano Spalletti’s side were stretched for a long spell by the visitors, who were determined to get something from the game.

Napoli, however, broke their resistance around the hour mark when Osimhen won a penalty which was converted by substitute Hirving Lozano.

Another substitute, Piotr Zielinski added the second goal two minutes from time.

Osimhen took to social media to celebrate the win and praise his side’s mental toughness.

“Top Notch Mentality From The Boys,We Keep It Moving @sscnapoli,” Osimhen wrote on his Twitter handle.

The Parthenopeans have now won their last 10 games in Serie A.

Napoli also moved eight points clear of defending champions, AC Milan with 38 points from 14 matches following the win.

Spalletti’s side will face Udinese in their next league game.
