Vice President Kashim Shettima has visited victims of the recent bomb explosion at Gamboru Market Mosque in Maiduguri, Borno State, offering condolences and assuring them of government support.
The visit was disclosed in a statement by Stanley Nkwocha, Spokesman and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications in the Office of the Vice President.
During the visit, Shettima met victims receiving medical treatment and conveyed the sympathy of President Bola Tinubu and the Federal Government to those injured and the families of the deceased.
The Vice President assured the victims that the Federal Government would continue to provide necessary assistance and support in the aftermath of the attack.

“Vice President Kashim Shettima visited victims of the bomb blast at the Gamboru Market Mosque in Maiduguri to commiserate with those injured and families affected by the tragic incident,” Nkwocha said.
He added that the Vice President personally interacted with those on admission and reassured them of the government’s commitment to their welfare.
At least five people were confirmed dead, while no fewer than 35 others sustained injuries in the explosion at Al-Adum Jumaat Mosque, located within the Gamboru Market area of Maiduguri Metropolitan Council.
The blast occurred on Wednesday during the Maghrib prayer, compounding the tragedy for worshippers gathered at the mosque.
