Smart City Rule NPFL Clubs In Valuejet Pre – Season Tournament

Smart city fc of Lagos on Wednesday came out tops in their group, after brutalising, Ottasolo fc 3-1 in their final group game to crown them leaders of their group in the ongoing valuejet pre season tournament, taking place at the graciously magnificent Remo stars stadium Ikenne, Ogun state.

City had earlier held current NPFL champions, Rivers Utd, kwara utd and Gateway fc to a stand still, as the games ended in draws.

City, who needed an outright victory in their last game, against Ottasolo, 8did not disappoint, as they gave Ottasolo some bitter pills to swallow, with a crushing 3-1 resounding victory.

Smart city assistant coach, Raheed Jimoh, said, after the game that, he is very pleased with his lads display, while also anticipating a very beautiful semi final against Vandrezza today.

“My boys have displayed some real palatable football in this tournament and I am totally pleased with their performances since the start of the tournament” he said.

“Our attention is now the game against Vandrezza, we will give them a good game and by the grace of God, we will achieve victory” he concluded.

City, will today face Vandrezza fc in the first semi finals, while Remo stars will battle Kwara utd for a spot in the finals on Friday.

Valuejet pre season tournament, has lived up to it’s billings, as the tournament has been very valuable to teams preparing for the new season, the final comes up on Friday, 3rd September.
