…rates Lotus Bank Abeokuta 10km Race high
The Managing Director of Fatgbems Groups, Ajibola Gbemisola has revealed plans to partner with Nilayo Sports Management Limited for developing sports in the country.
Gbemisola stated this during the annual Lotus Bank Abeokuta 10km Race in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
The Chief Executive Officer of Fatgbems Petroleum company said the 10km race showcased the beauty of athletics in the state, earning the sport a high grade.
He said, “When approached by the Managing Director of Nilayo Sports Management Limited, Chief Bukola Olopade to be part of the Abeokuta 10km Race.
“I looked at the previous editions and saw the impact of the athletics event among the youths in Nigeria. The standard is high and I am happy to identify with sports in Nigeria.

“We are working to have a five-year partnership with Nilayo Sports to promote not only marathon events but sports in Nigeria. I am also working assiduously on how to partner with the Ogun State Government in the annual Governor’s Cup.
“The 10km race is top notch; I can see that we had winners from not only Nigerians but Kenya. This has shown that this is an international event and Fatgbems is glad to identify with sports in Nigeria.”
Gbemisola revealed that Fatgbem will use sports as an avenue to meaningfully engage the youths to channel their energy into productive ventures.
He said, “I am a sportsman and I have involve myself in sporting activities. I see sports as an avenue to take the youth out of the street and meaningfully engage them”.
