Super 6 Play Offs Gets Under Way

FC Robbo Queens of Lagos and Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt will this morning at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba open proceedings in the much awaiting Super 6 Play offs of the female football league.

At the draws yesterday evening in Asaba, Modupe Shabi, the Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria Women Female League, she apologized for the hiccups that marred preparations for this season ending soccer showpiece. She said it was due to exigencies the body could not control.

These unforseen informed the new format with the six teams being grouped into two for quick completion of the games in six days to meet CAF deadline.

But it was fun at the venue as officials of the teams exchanged pleasantries with banters before hostilities.
The other team in group A is Bayelsa Queens.

For group, Delta Queens, Confluence Queens and Edo Queens are foes.

Later today, Delta and Confluence will take to the pitch to do battle.

All the matches will be played at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.
