Super Falcons train in Rabat ahead of WAFCON 2024 final match

The Super Falcons had their first training session on their new pitch in Rabat yesterday, as preparations continue for the final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

The Nigerian team arrived in the Moroccan capital on Wednesday, just a day after securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory over South Africa’s Banyana Banyana in the semifinal to book their place in the tournament’s grand finale against the hosts, the Atlas Lionesses.

The opening 15 minutes of Thursday’s training session, led by coach Justin Madugu, were open to the media.

The nine-time champions will hold a closed door session at the same venue today before WAFCON 2024 final against the hosts at the Olympic Stadium, Rabat tomorrow.

Before the final, Ghana who lost to Morocco in the second semi-final, will tackle dethroned South Africa in the bronze medal game scheduled for today in Casablanca.
