Super Falcons vs Matildas: Ajibade promises 100% input

Ahead of Thursday’s group stage second match, Super Falcons utility player Rashidat Ajibade says the tie against Co-host will not be tea party but added however the Falcons fear no foe.

Ajibade who missed the opener against Canada alongside Ayinde no thanks to suspension says she is not only happy to bounce back but ready to give 100% input. “No doubt the match against the hosts will tough but we are ready and we cannot be intimidated” She enthused while x-raying the forthcoming match in a chat with nff.tv.

Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum had earlier expressed delight at having the two ladies back on eligibility list thus giving him wider choice and room to fortify the team to face Matildas of Australia. With just a point in the kitty Falcons will need at least a win and a draw to stand a chance of advancing to the knock out stage.

The team crashed out in the round of 16 at the last edition in France and is hoping to go beyond that on one hand and better their best 1999 quarterfinal record on the other.

Ajibade whose speed on a good day is a delight to watch is sure to play a role as Falcons search for goals especially with Australia only with three points in the kitty after winning the first match against Norway.
