Tanzania, Ghana Academies Enter SPOCS Scouting Tournament

Academies from neighbouring countries Ghana, Benin and even far away Tanzania, Uganda and Congo has entered for the fast approaching SPOCS U19 Scouting Tournament.

The event, which will come up November 15 – November 20, 2024, will hold at the ultra – modern Remo stadium at Ikenne, Ogun state.

Fountain Gate Academy from Tanzania, which is one of the best football academies in Tanzania, we are told will storm Remo for the program.

Also expected at the program next month is a top football academy from Ghana, IBT FC Ghana, while AS Lagarde another known academy for developing top talent in Benin Republic will also be participating.

Teams from Uganda and Congo will not be left out as they plan to land the program with selected national team players, we have been informed.

“We are expecting Academies from Tanzania, Ghana, Benin Republic, Uganda and Congo to be part of this program, says Gbenga Victor Agbejoye, SPOCS Nigeria Director and CEO Grassrunners FC.

“Fountain Gate Academy will come all the way from Tanzania, while IBT FC will travel from Ghana, another top academy from Benin Republic, AS Lagarde will be present as well as sides from Uganda and Congo, he noted.

“This is a testament to the impact SPOCS is making not just in Nigeria but the entire African continent”, he concluded.

Other notable sides that will partake in the 5-day program include: Grassrunners, Beyond Limits, Ojodu City, Jobisports, Imperial FC, Rolly FC amongst others.

A total of 32 teams have so far entered for the scouting tournament.
