Popular TikTok content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, has announced his decision to suspend plans for university education, days after celebrating his admission to study Law at a private university in Lagos State.

Peller disclosed the decision during a live session on TikTok, citing financial considerations and concerns that schooling would negatively affect his income stream.

He said spending long hours in class without earning money was frustrating and unsustainable for him at this stage.

The content creator also said he felt uncomfortable among his classmates, noting that he was the youngest in the class.

“Guys, I swear to God, I remember I said I am going to school… I am not going again,” he said.

“I was in class for four hours and didn’t make any money. I will write, I will look, I will play — not making anything. God forbid. I am not doing that again,” he added.

Peller said he noticed that most of his classmates were much older, making him feel out of place.

“When I entered the school, I noticed everyone was old. I was the only young blood there,” he said.

He suggested that he might return to school later in life, possibly in his 30s or 40s, and asked supporters to disregard his earlier announcement.

The decision marks a reversal of his recent excitement over securing admission into a law programme, which he had publicly celebrated while responding to critics who questioned his educational background.

“People have been criticising me for not being educated, as if I’m the first person who didn’t attend university. Now, all of you should leave social media because I’m in school,” he had said.

“I’m studying law now. You can see it. You can’t mess with me anymore. I know the law,” he added.
