Tinubu applauds Super Eagles’ AFCON semi-final win

Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has applauded the Nigerian Super Eagles for their outstanding performance in the semi-finals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, which Ivory Coast is hosting.

Reacting to the Super Eagles victory in the semi-final match played at the Stade de la Paix, President Tinubu, on his official X handle, formerly known as Twitter, commended the soccer stars, saying they have made Nigerians proud with their resilience on the pitch.

The president charged the Super Eagles to soar in the AFCON finals.

Nigeria will now play the AFCON 2023 host country, Ivory Coast, in the final AFCON match on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
