President Bola Tinubu is set to leave Abuja on Wednesday for a state visit to France, following an invitation extended by President Emmanuel Macron.
According to a statement from Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the three-day visit will focus on bolstering political, economic, and cultural ties, while opening new avenues for cooperation, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, security, education, health, youth engagement, employment, innovation, and energy transition. The visit is expected to yield significant benefits for Nigeria.
The statement further outlined that on Thursday, President Tinubu and his wife, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, will be welcomed at the iconic French military museum, Les Invalides, and later at the Palais de l’Élysée by President Macron and his wife, Brigitte, for ceremonial events that will lead into bilateral talks.

Additionally, they will engage in diplomatic discussions centered around shared interests in finance, solid minerals, trade, investments, and communication.
