Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, on Monday paid his first official visit to President Bola Tinubu since leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Governor Kefas arrived at the Presidential Villa around 1:30 p.m. and proceeded to the President’s office at about 2:00 p.m. He was accompanied by APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for a closed-door meeting.

Although details of the discussion were not disclosed, the meeting is viewed as a significant step in Kefas’ political realignment following his recent defection to the ruling party.

The Taraba governor had earlier been scheduled for a formal welcome ceremony into the APC on November 19, but the event was suspended after the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State, which prompted him to call for a postponement in solidarity.
