Tinubu to grace Uzodimma’s swearing in ceremony Monday

President Bola Tinubu is expected to attend the second swearing-in ceremony of Imo state governor, Hope Uzodimma, which is set to take place on Monday, January 15, at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

It was gathered that President Tinubu who will be accompanied by some officials and members of the National Assembly is expected to commission some projects in the state.

The president will commission the redesigned Airport Road which is dualised from two lanes to four lanes with side lightening from Owerei Aba Road to the Airport including  brand new Twin Tollgate.

The event is anticipated to attract also political and business heavyweights from Nigeria, with many prominent individuals expressing their interest in attending.

Governor Uzodimma, who was declared the winner of the November 11th election by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), is set to be inaugurated following his victory in all 27 local government areas of the state.

The entire state is in a celebratory mood, and the capital city of Owerri is being prepared for the event. Adequate security measures have been put in place, and steps have been taken to manage the expected crowd.

The inauguration will be preceded by a thanksgiving mass and followed by a state banquet at the Government House in Owerri.

The ceremony is being organized by a committee chaired by Senator Chris Anyanwu and co-chaired by Chief Cosmas Iwu, with the aim of ensuring a seamless and hitch-free event.

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba said dignitaries across the country have been invited to the event, while supporters from across the 27 local government areas are also expected at the ceremony.

“It will be  a momentous event as Imo people are joyously awaiting the ceremony. We  are working hard on crowd control because our supporters across the 27 local government areas are all eager to attend  the ceremony, ” Emelumba added.
