Transfer: Johnny Evans returns to Manchester United

Former Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has returned to the club.

According to talkSPORT, the Red Devils are not ruling anything out after handing the defender a short-term contract.

He will also have a place on Erik ten Hag’s pre-season tour.

Since Leicester City’s relegation from the Premier League, the 35-year-old has been training at his former club to build up match fitness.

Manchester United believe Evans can pass on valuable experience to the club’s younger players.

Northern Ireland international Evans played 198 games for United across seven seasons, winning three Premier League titles, before being sold to West Brom in 2015.
