Transfer: Nigerian striker, Abdullahi joins Swedish club on three-year deal

Nigerian forward, Suleiman Abdullahi, has joined Swedish club, IFK Gothenburg on a three-year contract.

Abdullahi was released by Bundesliga outfit, Union Berlin at the end of the 2021/22 season.

It’s a return to the Scandinavian for the 25-year-old, who was once in the books of Norwegian club, Viking Skavenger.

He scored five goals in 13 appearances for the modest club.

“We are recruiting a player with great potential who has also shown before that he can deliver in Scandinavian football,”head coach, Mikael Stahre told the club’s official website.

“We believe that Suleiman can lift in our environment and reach the same high level even in an all-Swedish context. What stands out most to me is his physique, speed and goal danger.”
