Serie A club, Empoli have announced the signing of Nigerian defender, Tyrone Ebuehi on a three-year contract.
Ebuehi linked up with the modest club from Portuguese giants, Benfica.
The versatile defender spent last season on loan at another Serie A club, Venezia.
Ebuehi made 19 league appearances for the club.
The 27-year-old has struggled with injuries since linking up with Benfica in 2018.
Ebuehi picked up an injury in training and was sidelined for the entire 2018/19 campaign.
The former ADO Den Haag player was loaned to Eredivisie club, FC club, FC Twente during the 2020/21 campaign.
Ebuehi, who was born in Harlem, Netherlands has made 11 appearances for Nigeria.
He was part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
