Transfer window: Nottingham Forest deny Hearts loan for Mighten

Nottingham Forest will not allow youngster Alex Mighten to join Hearts on loan.

The Scottish club were hoping to secure the player before the transfer window closes.

However, Edinburgh News states that Forest have agreed to let Mighten leave on loan to an English club.

At present, Sheffield Wednesday have the strongest chance of securing the 20-year-old.

The two clubs are in advanced talks, with Forest’s Greek owners finally giving the green light to his departure.

Mighten is a winger who was born in the United States, but represents England at international level.
