Transfer window: Salah happy with Barcelona interest; stalls Liverpool contract plans

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah is happy with interest from Barcelona.

Salah is now well inside the final 18 months of his current Liverpool deal, with new contract talks now stalling.

Mundo Deportivo says Barca are keen and for his part, Salah is happy with their interest.

The Egypt international has long been a fan of Xavi and is impressed by his work as Barca coach since his appointment earlier this season.

Salah can see himself succeeding in Xavi’s system and is open to moving to the Spanish giants should they firm up their interests. Indeed, it’s claimed Salah is now going cold on the prospect of renewing his Reds deal, despite contrary English press reports.
