U-20 AFCON: Flying Eagles to face Benin Republic, South Sudan in friendlies

Date:

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will take on neighbours, Benin Republic and South Sudan in friendlies ahead of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

The two warm-up games will hold in Morocco.

Ladan Bosso’s side is expected to fly to Morocco via Accra, Ghana on Wednesday (today) for a training tour ahead of the competition.

Dates and venues for the two games are, however, still under discussion.

The Flying Eagles defeated another AFCON-bound team, Zambia 4-2 in a friendly last week.

Benin Republic and South Sudan are among the 12 countries that will compete for the title at the 2023 U-20 AFCON.

The Flying Eagles are in Group A with hosts Egypt, Mozambique and Senegal.
