U-20 AFCON: Flying Eagles to face Gambia in semi-finals

The Gambia confirmed their place in the semi-finals at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations after a 5-0 annihilation of South Sudan on Friday.

Abdoulai Bojang’s side has also secured a spot at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The Young Scorpions will face the Flying Eagles in a West African derby in the last four.

The semi-final encounter will take place at the Cairo International Stadium on Monday.

The Flying Eagles booked their place in the semis after a hard-fought 1-0 win against the Hippos of Uganda on Thursday in Alexandria.

The Gambians are unbeaten in the competition, while the Flying Eagles have lost once.
