U23 AFCON: Nigeria To Host Guinea In First Leg March 2023

Nigeria’s U23 male national team Olympic Eagles will host its Guinea-Conakry counterpart in the first leg of the final round of the AFCON qualifiers in March 2023.

Guinea was confirmed as the next foe after Uganda withdrew from the qualifiers.

The Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba where the Olympic Eagles edged out Tanzania 2-0 to qualify 3-1 on aggregate is expected to host the first leg between March 20-28, 2023.

While the second leg in Conakry will come up a week later, as the winner on aggregate from both legs will qualify for the U-23 AFCON, which will be hosted in Morocco in November 2023.

The competition will serve as the qualifier for the 2024 Olympic Games to be staged in Paris, France.

Meanwhile, in other fixtures, Egypt will be having it tough against Zambia, South Africa will take on Congo, Ghana will be away to DR Congo and it will be a West African derby between Senegal and Mali.

Gabon Junior Panthers will seek to goal past Cameroon Junior Indomitable Lions as Niger Republic host Sudan.
