UCL: Lionel Messi breaks Pele’s record

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Lionel Messi, on Wednesday, broke Brazil legend, Pele’s record in football.

Messi now has a combined 1127 goals and assists to surpass Pele’s record of most goal contributions in football history.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner achieved the feat after scoring a brace in PSG’s Champions League 7-2 win over Maccabi Haifa in Paris.

His teammates, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar were also on the scoresheet against the Israeli club.

Messi is now ahead of Pele, who has a combined 1126 goals and assists.
