UCL: Napoli could face crisis without Osimhen, others against Milan

Luciano Spalletti has a serious lack of options up front due to injuries but has a plan in mind for Napoli’s upcoming Champions League clash with Milan.

This morning’s training session did not give good news for the Partenopei, with Victor Osimhen, Giovanni Simeone and Giacomo Raspadori all working on their recoveries individually.

With just over 48 hours to go until the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals against Milan, Spalletti needs to tinker with his frontline to try and find a solution for this slight injury crisis.

As highlighted by La Repubblica, Spalletti tried using star winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as a false nine in today’s training session, suggesting that the Georgian could take on that role against Milan on Wednesday.

Kvaratskhelia has featured exclusively on the left wing for Napoli this season but has some experience in the centre of the pitch, sometimes playing as a second striker for the Georgian national team.
