UEFA names Terem Moffi’s stunning strike of ECL Goal of the Season

Super Eagles striker, Terem Moffi, has been awarded the prestigious UEFA Europa Conference League Goal of the Season for his remarkable acrobatic goal.

The goal was scored during OGC Nice’s thrilling 2-2 draw against Basel.

UEFA’s Technical Observer panel, responsible for selecting the top ten goals of the 2022/23 UEFA Europa Conference League campaign, recognized Moffi’s outstanding effort as the most remarkable of the season.

Coming in second place was Lazio’s talisman Ciro Immobile, with his stunning winning goal versus Cluj in February.

Andy Diouf, the recipient of the Young Player of the Season award, secured third place with his strike against Žalgiris on matchday five of the competition. Interestingly, the Basel youngster claimed two positions in the top ten rankings.

Villarreal’s winger, Chukwueze, secured fourth place for his impressive volleyed strike during the Yellow Submarine’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Bulgarian club Lech Poznań.

It would be recalled that West Ham United emerged victorious in the UEFA Europa Conference League, clinching a 2-1 win against Fiorentina in the final match.
