Enyimba continued their dismal form in the Nigeria Professional Football League as they were held to a 1-1 by struggling MFM on Saturday.
The Finidi George’s men created numerous scoring opportunities, but were let down by wayward finish from the forwards and superb performance from MFM’s goalkeeper Isaac Jerry.
The Aba Elephants had 16 attempts on goals — of which 8 were on target, while MFM had 4 attempts and hit the target twice.
The last time the Church Boys picked a point in Aba was in 2016 and Enyimba have dropped 7 points at home this season in the NPFL.

The lead however lasted for five minutes as the visitors hit back. Chukwudi Ekeocha ran onto a through ball and beat his marker, before slotting the ball between the legs of onrushing goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke.
Enyimba almost regain their lead in the 20th minute, but Finidi watched in agony as Obioma’s volley from close range struck the frame of the goal.
Another chance fell to Victor Mbaoma ten minutes later, but sumptuous header crashed against the post — with Isaac Jerry beaten.
In the second half, Enyimba did everything humanly possible to win the game, but Isaac Jerry was the man who stood between them and the three points.
The MFM goalkeeper pulled off a terrific saves to deny Victor Mbaoma in the 65th and 79th minute respectively.
