Victor Moses has made a surprising return to English football by joining Luton Town, the club has announced.
The 33-year-old former Nigerian international was a free agent this summer after leaving Spartak Moscow, where he had been since 2021.
Luton Town manager Rob Edwards expressed optimism about Moses’s impact on the team’s promotion ambitions.
“Victor is someone we’ve been in discussions with for quite some time. He trained with us last week and featured for 60 minutes in a closed-door match. We believe he can make a significant contribution,” Edwards said.

“He adds depth and versatility to our squad, with the ability to play on either flank or as a number ten. His extensive experience across various clubs and under different managers has made him tactically astute. We think he’ll bring valuable competition to our team.”
Moses previously enjoyed a successful tenure with Chelsea, where he won the Premier League and FA Cup in 2017 and 2018. He was also part of the squad that lifted the Europa League trophy in the 2012/13 season. Despite spending much of his nine-year stint at Stamford Bridge out on loan, Moses showcased his skills with clubs like Liverpool, Inter Milan, West Ham, Stoke City, and Fenerbahçe.
