WAFU Cup: Garba vows Golden Eaglets will beat Burkina Faso in Group B opener

Golden Eaglets head coach, Manu Garba is optimistic his side will begin their campaign at the WAFU B U-17 Championship on a winning note.

The defending champions will face Burkina Faso in their opening Group B fixture on Thursday (today).

The encounter slated for the University Stadium, Accra will start at 4pm Nigeria time.

The Golden Eaglets defeated Burkina Faso 2-1 in the final of the competition two years ago.

Garba is upbeat his charges will get the job done again this time around.

“We have the confidence we will beat Burkina Faso,” the experienced tactician told a press conference.

“We’re hopeful of the maximum points today.”
