West Brom prays for Semi Ajayi ahead Eagles match

English Championship side West Brom went spiritual Thursday praying for the club’s star Semi Ajayi as he prepares to join the Super Eagles for the two legged World cup play-off against Ghana.

The Club announced on its website that Ajayi who was named in Augustine Eguavoen’s 32-man provisional squad, will be jetting out to join the Eagles after the club’s tie against Bristol City at the AShton Gate on Saturday.

According to the club “Ajayi’s nation face Ghana in a two-legged tie, with the winner advancing through to the finals in Qatar at the end of the calendar year” adding “We would like to wish Semi all the very best during his time away with his country”

Ajayi who has become a regular for the national team was part of the Nations cup in Cameroon. Ajayi who joined West Brom from Rotherham United in 2019 has made over 80 appearances for the side with goals to his credit

Ajayi who received his first call to the senior nation team in August 2018 for 2019 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers, made his debut against Seychelles in the 2019 Nation cup qualifiers, coming on for the injured Chidozie Awaziem in the 73rd minute. He has since been capped 15 times still counting.
